The entry period for the Global Green Beauty Awards 2025 has now officially closed, and we’ve been overwhelmed—in the best way—by the response. This year brought a record number of submissions from brands across the globe, each with their own approach to sustainability, innovation, and transparency in beauty.
Winners will be announced on 23rd June. As we prepare for that, we also want to share something important: this year marks a shift in how we define and deliver what these awards stand for.
This isn’t just about celebrating products. It’s about setting a standard—one that is thoughtful, credible, and rooted in genuine progress for the beauty industry.
Evolving from Recognition to Responsibility
Over the past few years, green beauty has changed dramatically. Consumers are asking better questions. Brands are being more transparent. And marketing buzzwords like “clean” or “eco” are no longer enough.
As an awards platform, we believe it’s time to evolve too. That’s why the Global Green Beauty Awards is taking a more deliberate, editorial approach in how we evaluate products, share insights, and help define what excellence really looks like in this space.
We’re positioning ourselves not just as a promotional platform, but as a trusted industry voice—curating and highlighting products that aren’t just well-branded, but well-formulated, well-researched, and ethically made.
A Judging Process Grounded in Expertise
To reflect that shift, we’ve placed renewed emphasis on the judging process this year. Our panel includes independent beauty editors, skincare professionals, and ingredient-conscious reviewers.
Their evaluations go beyond packaging and marketing claims. Products are judged on how well they perform, how thoughtfully they’re formulated, and the extent to which sustainability is embedded in their design and production. We’ll be introducing our judges publicly soon, along with more behind-the-scenes content about how they make their decisions and what they’re seeing in the industry.

We’ve refined our evaluation criteria to focus on five key areas:

While awards are about recognition, we also want to offer something more lasting. On 23rd June, alongside the list of winners, we’ll be publishing a new editorial feature: the 2025 Green Beauty Report.
It will include commentary on emerging trends, interviews with selected formulators and founders, and observations from our judges on what’s evolving in green beauty—from refillable packaging to microbiome-friendly skincare.
We’re also in the early stages of developing a new Green Score Index that evaluates entries across sustainability-related metrics, offering a clear, transparent view into how each product stacks up.
Why This Matters
For brands, the value of awards like this isn’t just visibility. It’s trust. In a market crowded with claims, an award that reflects careful, independent evaluation can help tell a different kind of story—one based on substance, not just style.
