Haircare continues to be one of the most exciting and innovative categories in the green beauty space — and the 2025 Global Green Beauty Awards proved just how far brands are pushing the boundaries when it comes to sustainable, natural, and high-performance hair products.

Each year, the awards welcome entries from both established global names and emerging clean beauty brands. Products are tested over several weeks by an independent panel of judges — not just for ingredient integrity, but also for efficacy, experience, and packaging. The aim is to spotlight those brands truly making a difference, not just through their marketing, but through their results.

This year’s haircare winners reflect a blend of salon-quality excellence and thoughtful indie craftsmanship. Here’s a closer look at some of the standout results from the beauty awards 2025.

Best Green Haircare Brand: Paul Mitchell

A familiar name for anyone who’s ever stepped into a salon, Paul Mitchell was awarded Gold for Best Green Haircare Brand. It’s a well-deserved win for a company that’s been cruelty-free since day one and continues to evolve with cleaner formulas and more sustainable practices. Their commitment to making salon-quality haircare more accessible and eco-conscious really stood out in the judging process this year.

Organic Luxury from Rossano Ferretti Parma

Rossano Ferretti Parma impressed judges again this year with high-end formulations that don’t compromise on sustainability. Their Vivace Everyday Active Shampoo won Gold for Best Organic Bath/Shower Product, and the Favoloso Heat Protector Spray earned Gold for Best Natural Heat Protector — a must-have for those who love styling tools but want to protect hair without harsh silicones or synthetic polymers.

Rossano Ferretti’s blend of performance and purity shows that organic doesn’t have to mean basic — and that sustainability can still feel indulgent.

Scalp Care Goes Mainstream

Scalp health took centre stage in 2025, and two products led the charge:

  • Gold for Best Natural Scalp Product went to CIMOR OFFICIAL for their FSGF Clarifying Spa Shampoo, a refreshing, deeply cleansing treatment that helps balance oil while supporting the scalp microbiome.

  • Silver went to We Are Paradoxx for their Advanced Scalp Serum, a lightweight yet potent formula that hydrates and soothes irritated or dry scalps without leaving residue.

With more consumers realising that healthy hair starts at the root, it’s great to see brands offering truly effective solutions with a natural approach.

Nourishing Oils for Hair Repair and Shine

Hair oils remain a favourite for protecting and nourishing hair — and this year’s winners delivered:

  • Hair Syrup’s Rapunzel Pre-Wash Oil took Gold for Best Natural Hair Oil. The formula is packed with strengthening oils designed to boost growth and reduce breakage, and the scent was also a hit with judges.

  • Silver went to Dook for their Conditioning Hair Oil, which features lightweight botanicals that add shine without greasiness — a rare balance to strike in natural oils.

Natural Styling & Protection That Works

Green beauty is now fully equipped to compete with conventional styling products. The Best Natural Heat Protectorcategory showed how far clean haircare has come:

  • Rossano Ferretti’s Favoloso Spray — mentioned earlier — took gold for its luxurious, feather-light formula that shields hair while enhancing smoothness.

  • Gold Haircare, who also won awards across other categories, earned Silver for their Thermal Protection Spray. The brand continues to impress across styling and treatment products, blending professional performance with plant-based ingredients.

Bar Formats on the Rise

Waterless, plastic-free haircare continues to gain ground. The Best Shampoo / Conditioner Bar category was one of the most competitive this year:

  • Gold went to Ladanifere for their Oat Protein Shampoo Bar with Vitamin B5, Chamomile, Lavender & Rosemary. Judges praised it for its gentle cleansing and nourishing feel — ideal for sensitive scalps and those switching from traditional shampoos.

  • Silver was awarded to Friendly Conditioner Bar – Lavender & Geranium, which left hair feeling soft and manageable, without any heavy residue. It’s also one of the most affordable eco-friendly options in the category.

Leave-In Treatments That Care

Leave-in conditioners and bonding products were also celebrated this year:

  • Gold for Best Natural Hair Product went to Naturals by Watsons for their Argan Hair Oil. It’s a nutrient-rich formula that tames frizz and adds shine without stickiness — a real crowd-pleaser. And alos goes great with their aloe vera shampoo!

  • Silver was awarded to *Noughty’s Let’s Bond Leave-in Treatment, a vegan-friendly formula that targets damage and improves manageability. It’s a standout for those looking for affordable, effective, and conscious haircare.

Looking Ahead: Beauty Awards 2026

With so many incredible products and brands recognised in 2025, we’re already looking forward to what’s to come in the beauty awards 2026. Entries will open in early 2026, and we’re expecting even more innovation in areas like scalp health, refillable packaging, biotech ingredients, and low-impact formulations.

If the trends from this year are anything to go by, green haircare is no longer a niche — it’s becoming the new standard. And with brands like Paul Mitchell, Rossano Ferretti Parma, and Naturals by Watsons leading the way alongside emerging eco innovators, the future looks very healthy indeed.
