Nu Skin, Vintage Beauty and Chitocare Beauty - a look into some winners from Scandinavia 2022 Global Makeup AwardsHi everyone! We have a busy year planned here I have lots to write about and I really want to talk a little more about the 2022 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards before we move on to our next adventure! So, last week I wrote about some of the winners from the 2022 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards which we announced before Christmas but just before I signed off I promised that today I would write a blog which focuses on the haircare gold winners. Let’s begin by looking at the Gold Winner for Best Shampoo which was Nu Skin and their Smoothing Shampoo. The Smoothing Shampoo helps detangle and smooth frizzy hair for a sleek, flawless finish. Its carefully selected blend of mild plant-based surfactants gently removes buildup leaving your hair delightfully clean. They are also conscious with their packaging. All their shampoo and conditioner bottles are made with 100% post-consumer resin (PCR) and caps with recyclable materials. Nu Skin have a great track record at the Global Makeup Awards and I’ve written about them extensively in previous blogs so I won’t repeat myself here but it’s safe to say that they continue to hold their position as a major brand in the hair and beauty industry. So, let’s move on to the Best Conditioner category! This year the gold went to Vintage Beauty for their Vital Dream Deep Care Conditioner with Karanja Oil. It is 100% vegan, not tested on animals, it is also GMO and paraben free. It has a pleasant and refreshing orange scent and leaves hair feeling cleansed and deliciously scented. I wrote briefly about the Vintage Beauty Brand when we first announced the winners last month as they have such an interesting and inspiring story as well as an excellent range of anti ageing products. Have you tried their Day and Night Firming Eye Contour set (a Golf Winner in the 2022 UK Global Makeup Awards) as it provides anti wrinkle effects in just minutes. I’m eager to write more about them but there just isn’t space today. If you happen to have time, I do recommend checking out their website where they proudly describe their journey! So now let’s move on to the gold winner for Best Bath / Shower Product which went to ChitoCare for their Beauty Shower Gel. Formed in 1999 in Iceland, all Chitocare products are produced in Siglufjörður by Primex Iceland. They clearly have a strong ethos and are extremely innovative, often using raw materials that were previously considered waste while always following science and maintaining a strong respect for nature. Sigríður Vigfúsdóttir, founder of ChitoCare, was recently interviewed for the mbl.is website where she proudly spoke about the Gold win at the Scandinavian Global Beauty Awards! She said "This is a great recognition for this newest product in our ChitoCare Beauty product line". She added "This is a bioactive shower soap loaded with natural ingredients that cleanse, refresh and rejuvenate the skin. It contains antioxidants and a combination of active ingredients from the sea and Icelandic geothermal water, which protect the skin. But the shower gel contains precisely the patented ChitoCare chitosan that we produce ourselves and geothermal silica from GeoSilica." The Gold award for Best Hair Masque / Treatment went to Eleni and Chris for their Scandimin The Blonde Hair Mask, This scandinavian mother and daughter team was founded in 2015 and have gone on to become one of the most exciting brands in the industry! This is another story I’m keen to write about in more depth in the near future! There just isn't space to do them justice in today’s blog but they are deserved winners of their gold! In fact, I’ve already gone over my word limit! I’ll love you and leave you now but don’t worry, I’ll be back again soon with another blog! Ciao for now! Dan

Hi everybody!
I hope you’re all good! After tidying my garden, I then realised I had a lot of washing to sort out before my trip to the UK. Neverending washing! The good thing about this heat is that it dries super quick though. This heat wave reminds me of the great times I’ve had visiting Asia, where I was unprepared for the humidity and the monsoons that seemed to come out of nowhere and disappear just as quickly! In my last blog I promised that today I would write about some of my favourite winning brands from the 2022 ASIA Global Makeup Awards and I am a man of my word! I’d like to begin with the Best ASIA Beauty Brand Gold Winner which was Nature Tree. Founded in 1981, this Taiwan brand has developed and manufactured raw liquids to supply professional skin care salons for over 40 years, and is known as an expert in the use of raw liquids. Natural, professional, and affordable these guys have a wide range of projects as well as posting engaging and useful social media content. Now, let’s take a look at the Gold Winner for Best Toner which was awarded to new Taiwanese brand L’oiseau Bleu for their International Suprême Doux. This product is especially good for those of us with sensitive skin since it includes amino acids and plant extracts. The result is hydrated skin which doesn’t feel at all tight! Much like other European brands which I have written about, the inspiration for this company came due to its founders (who are sisters) frustration at not being able to find a product which was suitable for their own suitable skin. Demonstrating an understanding of the uniqueness every one of us has when it comes to skin products, the sisters offer a try before you buy option, so you can test the products for yourself and see how it works for you. The third brand I’d like to tell you about is THETREE who took Gold for Best Hair Product with their super Purify Hair & Scalp Tonic Treatment. This impressive brand develops professional salon-level hair products tailored for Asians, and aims to create a safe product without adding any toxic ingredients. Their objective is to help millions of women to have beautiful hair and to feel good about themselves. Although this is an asian brand they have strong connections to Europe, particularly Norway and endeavour to make sure that all their products meet the strict EU quality standards. Their social media pages demonstrate excellent customer communication and a steady flow of new products joining the range. Definitely well worth a closer look! Oh my goodness, I'm out of space again. After writing a few blogs on winners from the UK Global Makeup Awards, it’s been a real treat to look further into some of the winners from the Asia Global Makeup Awards. At first glance, the brands seem so different, in terms of marketing material, but once you really get into it, it's quickly apparent that we all want the same things from our beauty products! Thanks again for joining me, Ciao for now Dan Ciao everybody!
Phew! It's 37 degrees here in Italy. We are all struggling and even trying to sleep is really difficult! I’m lucky to live near the beach though so I’ve had some nice, refreshing dips in the lake although as soon as I get out I’m all sweaty again! I’m excited because I’m flying back to London this Friday and I can't wait to see my family and my Global Makeup Awards colleagues who I really miss! I’ve been looking forward to the UK’s cooler weather and I know it’s been pretty hot there too but I’ve just checked the iphone app and it’s looking like mid-twenties in the day and much, much cooler at night! Woohoo! Last month I wrote a blog about winners of the Best SPF Beauty Products and how important they are not only during heat waves but even throughout winter. If you are heading anywhere hot this summer - it's crucial to remember an SPF lip balm as lips are so delicate and are better protected with a balm than sun lotion. A true holiday beauty must have. In today’s blog I would like to look at some other great products which have the added benefits of including protection against UV rays. The Best Lip Balm winner at the 2022 UK Global Makeup Awards was for SNOWBERRY RED Multi-active balm UVA|UVB SPF30 by Albus and Flora. Albus and Flora was founded by physiologist Rachel Williams BSc(Hons), MSc(Dist) who previously had a 10 year career in academia which also involved publishing research and consultancy roles for Team GB at 3 olympic games. Rachel’s inspiration for starting the brand came after skiing in the French Alps where she witnessed first hand the damage UV rays could cause to the lips. This led to her combining her expertise in physiology and science-backed research with her passion for natural botanics. The brand also shares really valuable information and advice on how to protect our skin from sun damage. UV rays and pollutants create free radicals in the skin, which cause oxidative stress that can break down collagen. After a weekend in the sun, it's really important to counteract the damage free radicals can cause with plant-based antioxidants. Serums and moisturisers that have ingredients like green tea, vitamin C, and turmeric extract are the best for treating skin after sun exposure. A look at the brand’s ingredients policy also shows a real commitment to natural ingredients and a solid understanding of the chemicals which are commonly used in cosmetics and the harm they can do to us. In addition to finding natural alternatives to harmful chemicals, the products are also fragrance-free. Furthermore they also strive to use ingredients which are sourced in a sustainable manner and are devoted to using 100% recyclable cardboard in their packaging. Naturally they also avoid any kind of animal testing. If you haven’t already checked out their lip balms, I urge you to do so! This blog has also been a great reminder for me to take care of my lips, especially during this hot period! You guys look after yourselves too! It’s so easy to forget about these things when we’re having fun in the sun! I’ll be back soon! Ciao for now Dan Hi everyone,
We have been so busy and excited recently since we announced the Winners of the UK 2022 Global Makeup Awards. We received over 250 entries into this year's UK 2022 Global Makeup Awards, there was fierce competition among the best brands in the industry. We were so impressed with the quality of the products which entered! The products were judged over a period of several months by our judges who eventually decided on the best beauty products for 2022 within the UK. There is a full winners list within Global Makeup Magazine on this website, but in today’s blog and in the next few blogs I’m going to take a closer look at the people behind some of the winning brands. Carter Beauty were Gold Winners in the Best Primer category for their wonderful Youth boost primer and serum. You probably already know about Marissa Carter, who is extremely popular on social media for her fantastic tutorials and the brave and honest way she shares all her challenges and successes with her followers. If you don’t yet know much about Marissa then I’ll just briefly outline her career! She has over 20 years’ experience in the beauty business and has a reputation for driving innovation, being behind nearly 150 make-up products, many of which are sold across the 1500 Walmart stores across the USA. The first Irish brand to reach this amazing achievement. Furthermore, her products are stocked in 23 countries, and sales average three bottles per minute. The great thing about Marissa’s social media pages is that we see directly the hard work and passion behind the scenes as well as the ups and downs! Sometimes we’ll see the glamorous side such as appearances at the Oscars and sometimes she’ll share her struggles and frustrations in a way that we can all relate to. Let’s take a look now at Gold Winner for Best Lash / Brow Product which went to Marina Miracle for their Eyelash & Brow Serum. Founded by Marina Elisabeth Engervik who aged just 4, ended up in hospital due to her eczema. If you’ve read my previous blogs then you’ll know that deeply personal experiences similar to this are often the catalysts behind the creation of the best brands. Moving into her teens, she then struggled with acne, sensitive and irritated skin and continued to struggle to find any treatments or products which would work for her. Deciding that she wanted to solve the problem herself, Marina began her journey of testing and researching ingredients and formulas, eventually perfecting the product which we have today. Once again, I’ve loved researching and sharing the fascinating stories behind some of my favourite products. Both Marissa and Marina are clearly passionate about their brands and work so hard to make them the very best they can be. Knowing the backstories makes using the products a much more meaningful experience too! By the way - we also have entries open for our 2022 Global Green Beauty Awards which celebrates the best in green and clean beauty brands. If your brand is organic, natural, ethical or zero waste - why not enter for a chance for showing off your green credentials! I’ll be back again soon looking at some more winners! I can’t wait! Thanks again for joining me! Ciao for now Hi everyone,
In the past couple of blogs we’ve looked in a bit more detail at some of last year’s winners at the 2021 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards. Today, I’m going to focus on some of the winners in brand categories, as opposed to product categories. These look at the brand as a whole and are among the most prestigious of our awards. The first winner we’re going to look at is Rosenserien who walked away as BEST ORGANIC BEAUTY BRAND GOLD WINNER. Rosenserien was founded around 40 years ago when co-founder Laine Nilsson, who at the time was working as a hairdresser, realised that some of the chemicals and ingredients in the products she was using were having a negative effect on her skin. After conducting a great deal of research around natural alternatives, and collaborating with local chemists, in 1984 the first products went on the market. Today, Laine’s daughter Carina Swartz is in charge of the brand, continuing her mother’s mission and leading Rosenerien to a series of awards including as one of Sweden's ”Super Companies” 2010 and 2011. Next we have BEST SCANDINAVIAN BEAUTY BRAND GOLD WINNER - Zenz Organic. This Danish company takes great pride in their expertise as professional hairdressers and believe this makes them the ideal people to create products for other professional hairdressers. The team are passionate about creating natural and healthy products. They also have an impressive desire to work in a sustainable way and incorporate this into their everyday strategies. Their philosophy is to be at the forefront of sustainable beauty and to always be part of the solution and never the problem! Inspirational! Another big success in the BEST SCANDINAVIAN BEAUTY BRAND category was Fiini Naturally. This wonderful Finnish company is the result of a beautiful friendship that began 20 years ago while the co-founders Heidi and Essi were still in high school. The two definitely have some kind of strong connection; their lives followed similar patterns and shared similar interests and passions. Something else they both share is that they have sensitive skin and had trouble finding skincare products that worked for them. Living in Finland, which is full of wildlife and has some of the cleanest air in the world, they were in the right place to combine their passion for nature and clean beauty to create a fantastic brand which is kind to sensitive skin and environmentally-friendly. They proudly use Finnish raw ingredients as much as possible, take special care that their packaging is also ecologically responsible and prefer to test new products on their own skin before bringing them to the market, absolutely no animal testing is involved! Well, that brings me to the end of another blog. Once again I’ve really enjoyed delving into the stories behind the brands, always so interesting and inspiring! I’ll be back very soon with a new blog which will focus on the classic brands which successfully-entered and won in the 2021 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards. Ciao for now! Dan Winners showcase for the 2021 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards

Another new brand entering was Transderma - they had two silver wins BEST MOISTURISER SILVER WINNER Transderma M Moisture Serum. BEST NIGHT CREAM SILVER WINNER - Transderma Vitamin A nighttime Serum This is a lovely Danish brand with hard-working moisturisers and serums that really work to tackle the effects of anti ageing while leaving skin feeling nourished. Another great new brand entry was Swati Cosmetics who achieved a number of Gold, Silver and Bronze wins in this year's 2021 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards. With their range of coloured lenses (which won gold!) and their eyelash glue / liners and fake lashes, they had a myriad of incredible pieces to make you glam in seconds. They are also a vegan friendly brand and Swati Cosmetics won gold for Best Vegan Brand in this awards too. Another win for them was for : BEST MASCARA SILVER WINNER - Swati Cosmetics OYNX Lash Booster Mascara What an incredible deep black mascara that stays all day. It looks even better when used with their colours lenses. One of our gold winners for Editor's Choice was - Mantle's The Dream Mask. This is a night time dream product which presses the reset-button for for your skin and aids recovery and the regeneration process. The night mask helps to boost collagen production, promotes longevity and restores plumpness. This is just a little sum up for some of our new entries, but do read the free magazine to learn more about all the incredible brands who entered for the Scandi region this year. Our Nordic cousins are known for their minimalist, high quality ingredients, and this year definitely did not disappoint with the incredible range of high quality entries. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, and see you on 6th January for the opening of our Global Makeup Awards for UK, ASIA and USA. Peace and love Dom Graydon Skincare, The Humble Co. and Juice Beauty - winners in the 2021 Global Green Beauty Awards with their incredible bamboo productsHi again everyone! I hope you are good and September is going well! Personally, I’m always a bit sad about the end of summer but sometimes September can be a really great month with good weather and smaller crowds! Here in Italy the weather has been really good and it's still warm enough to eat outside yet cool enough to sleep at night. Thank goodness! In the last blog we explored the stories behind some of the winners from the last Global Green Beauty Awards, specifically those with hemp as an ingredient! In today’s blog I want to take a better look at the winners of the Best Bamboo Product category, a new category within our Green Beauty Awards. Let’s begin with the Gold Winner which was Graydon Skincare with their Bamboo Charcoal Konjac Sponge. This product is 100% vegan and 100% biodegradable. It becomes jelly like when wet, but when dry, it shrinks in size ready for the next use. Made with 100% biodegradable konjac plant fiber and bamboo charcoal, this sponge is the ultimate tool to detoxify pores, smooth your skin and thoroughly cleanse your face. This product was a truly brilliant entry in the 2021 Global Green Beauty Awards and was a well deserved winner. Bamboo is one of those miracle ingredients which can be used so many ways in the beauty industry. This Canadian company has been going for about nine years and founder Graydon Moffat featured last month on City TV Breakfast television (see here). Interviewed in her immaculate kitchen, Graydon explained how her previous experience as a yoga instructor and a vegan chef as well as her holistic approach feeds into her philosophy behind her skincare business. During the TV interview Graydon explains that her mission is to give people the chance to have a good skin day every day through products with simple, natural ingredients and to play a part in people all over the world feeling good about themselves! I love how simply and sincerely she states that and it’s clear that she loves her work! Additionally, the website proudly declares their ingredients to be dermatologist and clinically tested, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, vegan as well as cruelty-free. Silver winner was The Humble Co. for their Interdental Brush / Bamboo. Established in 2013 by dentist Noel Abdayem and based in Sweden they follow the typical Scandinavian model which loves simplicity and efficiency. Inspired by a trip to Jamaica where he did voluntary work, Noah returned and set up the company which boasts products in over 40,000 stores and clinics worldwide. It’s not surprising that they are so popular as the oceans are filled with old plastic toothbrushes (every single year we go through 10 billion plastical oral care products). It's clear that there is not only a demand but an absolute necessity for The Humble Co. to continue with its fight to give us high quality oral care in an environmentally friendly way! Bronze winner was the super Juice Beauty for their Bamboo Pore Refining Mask. We loved this mask as it keeps help spots at bay. It contains bamboo charcoal & kaolin clay to help detox; Aspen bark to help smooth & hydrate, and exfoliating polyhydroxy acids for a softer, smoother complexion. Founder Karen Behnke already had a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur in the wellness industry but her pregnancy at 40 and the changes in her hormonal balance inspired her to develop a skincare product which would work for others like her who are concerned that our skin absorbs the products we use on it and wanted effective solutions which were not harmful to the body or the environment. Her goal was not just to provide products that were as good as conventional options, but actually better. Consequently she spent five years working with scientists to explore complex organic formulations. Juice Beauty was founded in 2005 and is Vegan, Cruelty Free, Sustainable and they use Certified Organic Ingredients. So, thanks for joining me for a closer look at the newest category for our 2021 Green Beauty Awards and at this year’s winners! I’ll be back soon to delve deeper into the stories behind more of our winners. Ciao for now! Dan Hello everybody!
What an exciting time! Last week we announced the winners of the 2021 UK Global Makeup Awards. This is the most thrilling part of the job and we absolutely love being able to provide recognition to the best in the business! Read the full list of UK winners here on our website which includes reading our free beauty magazine Global Makeup Magazine which goes into more details on all of this year's beauty awards winners. In today’s blog, we’d like to shine a light on some of the skincare winners, so you know a little more about the products as well as the people and companies behind them! Let’s begin with EcoTan by Sonya Driver with the Super Citrus Cleanser which deservedly won gold for the Best Cleanser and silver for Hempitan for the category of Best Fake Tan! The story behind the brand Eco by Sonya is both touching and inspiring. After going through an extremely traumatic period and having her life turned upside down, Sonya then discovered her sister had to have a melanoma removed from her arm, leaving a significant scar. After discovering that tanning products which were being advertised as 99% natural were actually very misleading, Sonya decided to start her own brand. The brand now boasts a range of great products and Sonya says the Super Citrus Cleanser is her favourite as it cleanses skin beautifully in a non-harmful way. Also, the bottle is so big that she also uses it as body lotion! Now, we’ll take a deeper look at the Gold Winner for best toner! SkinChemists Advanced Brightening Toner beat some stiff competition to walk away with the award, now let us tell you a little more about their story and you might see why they also won one of our most prestigious categories - Gold for Best Luxury Skincare brand as well as a few other wins under their belt in this year's 2021 UK Global Makeup Awards. Richard Walker, the founder and MD of SkinChemists is clearly very proud of both the brand and its history, and it’s easy to see why. The company started eleven years ago although Richard grew up around skincare products, his father being a chemist who was passionate and clear about wanting to create products which would make the world a better place! Richard also has a very clear goal! He states that his objective for SkinChemists is to become the world’s #1 cosmeceutical brand. He is also understandably proud of their remarkable achievement of selling 1,500 units within 24 hours of their website first going live! The Advanced Brightening Toner is a fantastic product which gives skin a healthy, even glow and radiates health. It's also great for acne care as well as maintaining skin elasticity and providing smoothing, softening and moisturising properties. So once again, big congratulations to Skinchemists London and to EcoTan by Sonya. Both deserved Gold Winners at this year’s UK 2021 Global Makeup Awards and both with wonderful and inspiring back stories behind the brands. We honestly think that the companies that clearly have a strong passion for what they do always create the best products and it’s so interesting to read about their journeys and the reasons behind them wanting to create their own products! Well, that’s it for now but keep your eyes peeled as we have several more In The Spotlight blogs planned over the next weeks as we look forward to learning more about the winners of this year’s UK 2021 Global Makeup Awards! See you soon! Dan - GMA Team Wow. It's been an exhilarating start to the year with our UK Beauty Awards. As part of a Global beauty awards group, we work through the year providing the following 5 awards:
UK Global Makeup Awards (our local beauty awards for new trends.) ASIA Global Makeup Awards (perfect for the Asian beauty award market, and also includes New Zealand and Australia beauty awards.) USA Global Makeup Awards (for the American Beauty Award market - a very interesting concept as USA Beauty Awards is not such a recognised concept compared to the other geographical markets - especially the UK where Beauty Awards are huge!) Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards and last but not least, the Global Green Beauty Awards (our biggest green and clean beauty awards which opens from mid March.) The 2021 UK Global Makeup Awards is drawing to a close with entries closing in two weeks, on 15th March 2021. Immediately after, the 2021 Global Green Beauty Awards open. It has been exhilarating for the UK market, as after the success of last year, which was our biggest year to date, who knew what the future would hold for 2021 which sees the UK reeling from the effects of its biggest recesion to date due to the coronavirus outbreak. The beauty industry was particularly hard hit, as the high street was closed, and with many people who had lost their jobs, there was less to spend on high end beauty items. On the other hand, self-care has never been so important - and home hair kits and home spa products have seen a rise. Our beauty predictions for 2021 from what we've seen so far is a leap towards more affordable and more eco beauty goods that you can use at home. Unfortunately, we've also seen a lot of famous beauty houses collapse. Victoria Beckham Beauty has closed its London store. Other colour cosmetics brands have taken a hit, as with social venues and work places being closed people just don't need it. Overwhelmingly, we have seen an increased demand for skincare haircare, wellness and of course sanitization. We have seen many beauty brands bring out hand sanitisers and hand creams and soaps in a reaction against the COVID19 pandemic. In fact at the start of the pandemic, you couldn't find hand soap or hand sanitiser for love nor money in any supermarket or pharmacy. OUr UK 2021 Global Makeup Awards responded to this with the following new categories: Best New Health and Wellness Product Best New Hand Cream Best Soap Bar Best Liquid Soap Best Hand Sanitiser After a year of meticulously washing and scrubbing our hands - we are all desperate for new finds in these categories which look after our hands and care for them. All of your beauty predictions with be proven (or otherwise!) in our winners list in April's Global Makeup Magazine. There are still two weeks left to enter our UK beauty awards, and if you have an ASIAN beauty brand you can enter our Asia beauty Awards the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards until April. Speak soon the GMA team After a long, steamy summer the nights are drawing in earlier, heating is going on and time for a bit of cosy on down.
The Danish and Norwegians have a word for this. Hygge. A hug for the soul, mind and consciousness. Giving yourself a pamper and creating a feeling of ease and contentment. Hard in the current climate. It’s not just the weather assaulting our mind and body but the current pandemic is making us all keep to our homes whether by choice or legislation. It seems an appropriate time to look at beauty products coming from our colder cousins, as they are the pioneers of S-Beauty aka Scandinavian Beauty. Think of all things Nordic, including the people, and the ability to keep fresh and strong comes to mind. People who have known how to take care of themselves in extremes of weather, keep safe, well and healthy. Great respecters of their environment and of themselves, and known for natural, clean beauty products. In fact, this is why we created the Scandinavian Global Makeup Awards - as those from the Scandinavian countries, have a wholly different approach to skincare and cosmetics, keeping things clean and natural. We may not want to run naked through the snow to throw ourselves into a natural hot geyser but we would all like to know what pleasure is aroused buy this act. Because there must be a pay off! So, we must look to the Skandi natural resources that we can use and indeed practice the respect they ave for our living world. The judges have been long been admirers of SKOGEN products, who were winners in the 2019 Scandinavian Global Makeup Awards and the 2020 Global Green Beauty Awards. Not just because of Skogen Cosmetics fabulous packaging which in itself is worthy to grace the shelves of any discerning designer led aficionado but the contents are truly amazing. Our judges have had The Jasmine Collection on test. Giving or receiving these products is an act of hygge in itself. The outer packaging is an extremely well manufactured box in royal blue but on opening the inside has been decorated with beautiful photographic scenes from the countryside. Just to get you in the right frame of mind. Every products differs with its interior. And sitting regally inside this gorgeous presentation box sit a violet blue capsule which seems to float inside a transparent outer covering. Even the men sit up and notice the beauty of the presentation of the SKOGEN Range. The underlying theme of the serums and creams is Jasmine. This is a beautiful fragrance for those who don’t like their products too earthy. And luckily we are all different so it's lovely to have a fragranced option. SKOGEN is a Swedish/US collaboration. Definitely a high end product the products have given great results. We love the fact that these luxury products still retain the criteria of being healthy and environmentally friendly. The Face Serum and Day Moisturiser leave the skin feeling wonderfully fed and radiant. Using the serum in conjunction with the Night moisturiser results in skin ready to face the day! SKOGEN EYE SERUM and EYE CREAM definitely helped this delicate area of the face minimising dark circles and invigorating this part of the face that many of us need help with. Especially when sleep has been hard to find! Last but certainly not least the Judges loved the non surgical Face Mask. King Tut would have loved this product. Looking like a gold mask this product contains a full set of 12 treatments which are soaked in a highly concentrated serum. Ingredients include hyaluronic acid, algae extract, we carat gold and vitamins to leave the skin rejuvenated, deeply nourished and radiant. This product also importantly stimulates cell vitality to enhance firmness. Use it post procedures to stimulate healing. Use it to minimise redness and even skin tones. Or just use it for a bit of your own hygge! Be sure to look out for other Scandi brands in the upcoming 2020 Scandinavian Global Makeup Awards, where the winners will be announced on 10th December in Global Makeup Magazine. These beauty awards celebrate all things beauty and Nordic. |
