Foreo - Scandinavia's cult classic beauty device
Wow! We are amazed at how many entries have been coming in for the 2021 Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards. If you haven’t entered your brand yet, don’t worry there’s still time as you can enter until November 25th 2021.
Then on December 20th 2021 the winners will be announced online (in our free online magazine and on the website). We can’t wait! It’s even more exciting than Christmas for us! Really! Well, as exciting then!
Much like in previous years we have received a very high calibre of products. As I mentioned in the last blog, Scandinavia is known for high quality minimalist products so expectations for these awards are high! We really love the Scandinavian approach to beauty and to business so we are really happy to put on these awards!
To warm us up for the imminent awards, let’s look at one of the most famous Scandinavian beauty brands, Foreo, which specialises in electronic cleansing devices.
Why is Foreo a cult beauty classic? Famous across the world, in last year’s Global Makeup Awards they took Gold for Best Beauty Tool with their wonderful UFO 2.
In case you are wondering what UFO 2 does, here are some more details. Described on their website as “A beauty spa in the palm of your hand” the UFO 2 devices provides instant warming which enables mask ingredients to infuse deep below the skin’s surface before cooling which assists the shrinking of the skin’s pores. It also features a full spectrum LED light which reduces signs of aging and helps to revitalize skin. Finally, it also includes a massage function which relaxes muscle tension points and boosts skin radiance.
Founded in a little office in Sweden in 2013, Foreo has quickly grown from a team of two to a worldwide team of 3000! They’ve sold over 36 million products to date and have customers in more than 75 countries. Their first product, LUNA, a sonic and silicone facial cleansing brush, was launched in 2013 and revolutionised the beauty industry by incorporating technology into people product application regimes.
If this sounds like the founders have a trailblazing attitude then you won’t be surprised to hear that the ethos at Foreo is built upon a ‘nothing is impossible’ attitude and the ever-growing team is carefully selected based on traits including a commitment to innovation. However, another important aspect of their philosophy is a commitment to kindness, decency and having fun. I think this really comes across in their brand and their products. The products are exciting so naturally the company is an exciting place to work!
