Award winning Australian and New Zealand Beauty Brands Hi again everyone!
So in the last blog I wrote about T-Beauty (Taiwanese Beauty) and delved deeper into the stories behind some of the winners from the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards. Today I want to focus on Australian and New Zealand companies which were successful in the awards same awards. Let’s have a look at some winners from the New Zealand and Australian winners from the ASIA 2021 Global Makeup Awards, as the region 'Asia' was all encompassing for Australasia and Asia. Soya Garden won 6 awards at the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards, including three Gold Awards for Best Beauty Brand, Best Design & Packaging and Best Moisturizer. Soya Garden draw their inspiration from nature and are relentless in their pursuit of finding the most potent soy products along with the most natural ingredients possible to create products which are New Zealand through and through. They are clearly passionate not only about their products' ability to improve the health of our skin but also in the role this plays in our all-round health and well-being. This is part of the reason why natural ingredients are so important to them. On their website they say “We’re not about changing the way you look, We’re out to change the way you feel; More healthy, more vibrant, more comfortable in your own skin;” I absolutely love that! So please check out Soya Garden’s wonderful products safe in the knowledge that they are an authentic brand with an admirable ethos and put a touch of New Zealand into your life! They were very well deserving of all their beauty awards this year. Another New Zealand brand which performed really well at the 2021 Asia Global makeup Awards was Yes Organics with their Lemon & Lime Lip Balm - Lemonade which was BEST LIP BALM GOLD WINNER. Like some other past winners, the Yes Organics story begins with a future entrepreneur’s personal journey of trying to find a product which works for them and is aligned with their ethical values. I love these stories as they are relatable and a world away from some faceless major corporations who sometimes use slick marketing and tricks to mask less than ideal business practices! In this case, Yes Organics started out searching for and then creating a wonderful lip balm but has since then expanded its range to include tinting and anti-aging lip balms as well as cold sore treatments. They are dedicated to cruelty free, 100% natural and organic lip balms with no preservatives and use premium, fair trade, 100% natural, ethically sourced, cruelty free and certified organic (where possible) ingredients. Zuii Organic won two Asia Global Makeup Awards, fpr best foundation and best organic beauty brand. Their mission is very clearly stated on their website “creating a much greener and much cleaner future”. One distinct advantage that Zuii Organic have when making their wonderful products is that they own their own manufacturing facility which obviously gives them complete control over all aspects of production and allows them to ensure that there are no shortcuts or compromises to their values. Wow, I have so much fun writing these blogs that I’ve gone on a bit too much already! Don’t worry, there is more to come soon but for now I’ll make this sign off brief! Ciao a tutti! Dan

Hi again everyone! Wow, summer has arrived here in Italy. It is baking hot so I’m inside with my blinds down trying to avoid the full midday heat, without much success! In today’s blog, I want to write about some of the Taiwanese beauty awards winners of the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards and share some info about their products as well as their stories. This was our first year launching in the Asian beauty market so it was really interesting to see the different styles of beauty entries from the different Asian beauty markets. We will firstly touch on the wider backdrop of Taiwanese beauty within the Asian beauty market. Firstly though, I would like to write a little about T Beauty (Taiwanese Beauty) What is it and how is it different from K Beauty (Korean Beauty)? Well, actually, this topic has already been superbly written about over at MIIRU Shop, see their post here but if I can summarise their article, the main difference is that T Beauty is derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine and its main focus is on health and well-being. K Beauty on the other hand is mainly inspired by the country’s famous pop stars and actors and is focused on being a multi (sometimes 10 step) step skincare regime to create flawless skin. So, let’s take a closer look at some of the winners from our recent Asian beauty awards. Firstly, we have Siele who took home three awards including Gold in the BEST SERUM category for their SIELE DIVINE REVITALIZING AQUA GEL. SIELE seeks to work with nature’s principles without harming it. Their concept is to create skin-friendly, natural and environmentally-friendly products. In their view, good skincare can also have the power to help the body, mind and spirit to relax. The founder considers herself to be a modern woman and wants people to really understand the importance of natural beauty products and the ingredients used in them. Beyond that, she aims to provide fashionable, natural products which highlight each woman’s individuality and personality. The Taiwanese MY BEAUTY DIARY also won multiple awards including Gold for Best Face Mask for their Rejuvenate Deep Hydration Mask. Founded in 2005, My Beauty Diary is now sold in 15 different countries. They have three main aims, to lead clients on their beauty journey, to provide safe and reliable products, and to remain loyal and supportive to their customers. This is one of the biggest names in the Asian beauty scene, and most famous for their face masks. Though - they also won an award for their ampoules in this years 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards. The BEST BODY PRODUCT GOLD WINNER was T Beauty company SECRET CASTLE for their ROSE ESSENCE BODY LOTION. Secret Castle was established in 2015, and we were most impressed with the Rose Essence Body Lotion which is an amazing product that was a worthy winner of its Gold win in the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards. They also have a strong range of other bath and body products. Previously, their 3 in 1 rose shampoo has also won in our Global Makeup Awards. The heady floral scent is perfect for feeling clean and fresh from the shower. Aeveop was a contender in the BEST ANTI AGEING PRODUCT category and finished as GOLD WINNER for their Revitalizing Facial Oil. Aeveop and Swissvita are two excellent brands which are overarched by Allyoung Group. Established in 2007, they now sell over 1 million units every single year through their network of brands and are devoted to social responsibility and environmental sustainability. They have also collaborated with ELLE on product development and eCommerce. So, thanks to all these companies for their fantastic T Beauty Products and for being part of the 2021 ASIA GLOBAL MAKEUP AWARDS. Its been great sharing more info about their stories! I’ll be back soon with a focus on other winners from the 2021 Asia Global Makeup Awards! Ciao a tutti! Dan Hey everyone!
Just a super quick update for those who haven't yet entered. The 2021 Global Green Beauty Awards close on 30th May, so you have until the end of this month to enter. These awards celebrate the best in green and clean beauty. You'll see a range of categories such as for ethical, organic, natural or vegan beauty products. There is something for every beauty brand - from makeup to skincare, haircare to body care. We also have some fun ingredients based categories such as best 'honey' product or best 'charcoal' product. Answers to some common FAQs which have been coming in. There are no launch date requirements - this means the product doesn't have to be a new launch. This helps to keep things ethical as a brand can keep to one product and marketing materials. We require 6 x product samples - these can be miniatures. If coming from outside of UK we ask you to put that these are PR samples as Brexit has caused a bit of chaos with shipping from outside of UK since January! We don't require official certification. This as it can be expensive for smaller brands to provide and we want this green beauty awards to be accessible to beauty brands - big and small. Saying that - though we don't ask for official certification you can 1) absolutely show it if you have it 2) do ask you to enter categories you genuinely believe are relevant. What does 'ethical' mean as a category? This is open to your interpretation. It needs to be green and clean - maybe low waste, or zero miles, or with a village kick-back scheme to help smaller communities. Maybe it is low carbon or maybe you re-plant trees in order to offset emissions. In other news, our inaugural ASIA 2021 Global Makeup Awards will be announced this Thursday! We are so excited about celebrating Asian and Australian and New Zealand Beauty awards winners. Stay tuned! Best wishes the Global Green Beauty Awards team x Wow. It's been an exhilarating start to the year with our UK Beauty Awards. As part of a Global beauty awards group, we work through the year providing the following 5 awards:
UK Global Makeup Awards (our local beauty awards for new trends.) ASIA Global Makeup Awards (perfect for the Asian beauty award market, and also includes New Zealand and Australia beauty awards.) USA Global Makeup Awards (for the American Beauty Award market - a very interesting concept as USA Beauty Awards is not such a recognised concept compared to the other geographical markets - especially the UK where Beauty Awards are huge!) Scandinavia Global Makeup Awards and last but not least, the Global Green Beauty Awards (our biggest green and clean beauty awards which opens from mid March.) The 2021 UK Global Makeup Awards is drawing to a close with entries closing in two weeks, on 15th March 2021. Immediately after, the 2021 Global Green Beauty Awards open. It has been exhilarating for the UK market, as after the success of last year, which was our biggest year to date, who knew what the future would hold for 2021 which sees the UK reeling from the effects of its biggest recesion to date due to the coronavirus outbreak. The beauty industry was particularly hard hit, as the high street was closed, and with many people who had lost their jobs, there was less to spend on high end beauty items. On the other hand, self-care has never been so important - and home hair kits and home spa products have seen a rise. Our beauty predictions for 2021 from what we've seen so far is a leap towards more affordable and more eco beauty goods that you can use at home. Unfortunately, we've also seen a lot of famous beauty houses collapse. Victoria Beckham Beauty has closed its London store. Other colour cosmetics brands have taken a hit, as with social venues and work places being closed people just don't need it. Overwhelmingly, we have seen an increased demand for skincare haircare, wellness and of course sanitization. We have seen many beauty brands bring out hand sanitisers and hand creams and soaps in a reaction against the COVID19 pandemic. In fact at the start of the pandemic, you couldn't find hand soap or hand sanitiser for love nor money in any supermarket or pharmacy. OUr UK 2021 Global Makeup Awards responded to this with the following new categories: Best New Health and Wellness Product Best New Hand Cream Best Soap Bar Best Liquid Soap Best Hand Sanitiser After a year of meticulously washing and scrubbing our hands - we are all desperate for new finds in these categories which look after our hands and care for them. All of your beauty predictions with be proven (or otherwise!) in our winners list in April's Global Makeup Magazine. There are still two weeks left to enter our UK beauty awards, and if you have an ASIAN beauty brand you can enter our Asia beauty Awards the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards until April. Speak soon the GMA team Hi everyone! I get so excited about Christmas and the whole build-up ...and then get to have it all again in January as I'm just as excited about the opening of entries for the Global Makeup Awards! There are no January slumps here! Entries are now open for the 2021 UK Global Makeup Awards and also the 2021 ASIA Global Makeup Awards which is their first inaugural year due to so many requests from Asian, and Eurasian countries. We love working with new brands and like-minded companies and discover so many amazing products. One of my favourite categories is for BEST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT. Last year in the UK Global Makeup Awards some of the GOLD WINNERS were Tweezerfile and House of Life London for their facial advance no 31. I’d love to share some more information about these companies with you now. Firstly, can I say that Tweezerfile have the most beautiful website, unlike most company websites out there. It’s not just extremely easy on the eye but also really engaging and fun, while still being user-friendly and easy to navigate. Based in Finchley, North London, and the brainchild of husband and wife team Lucy and Wolfgang Zender, Tweezerfile, as you may have guessed is a file for you tweezers. They use a diamond-plated stainless steel surface to re-invigorate your tired sets of tweezers, reducing wastage and saving you cash. Visit www.tweezerfile.com to see what I mean about their website and take a closer took at their business. The Tweezerfile costs £12.99 and is available in coral and midnight blue. Earlier this year it was featured in a great article at Glamour Magazine UK which dealt with home eyebrow care. Another favourite of ours was the Gold winner House of Life London with their facial advance no.31. This product is designed to reduce lines and increase skin firmness and is made of a blend of 31 natural and organic compounds. Deborah Craven-Smith-Milnes launched House of Life London in 2016, after spending 20 years working in global technology innovations. We love her philosophy which is to “simplify the skincare landscape” by providing products with multiple benefits that can be used both day and night. Products are made from 100% organic materials and locally sourced as much as possible. Ethically aware, they strive to minimize waste and environmental impact, this is a product you can buy knowing that you are on the right side of the fight for the planet. House of Life London are endorsed by BRAND AMBASSADOR RH Princess Tessy of Luxembourg and were recently featured in the Sunday Times Style section Please do check out both these products. Personally, I think the Tweezerfile is a product that every household should own, I can’t believe it hadn’t been invented before but maybe I the future we won’t remember life without one! And once again, do check out their fabulous website. I also wholeheartedly recommend House of Life London. I love their philosophy of simplifying beauty regimes and creating ethical and natural beauty products. Also, the facial advance no.31 cream is fantastic, especially for those days (and nights) when you do want a fast and simple treatment. Thanks again for dropping by, even writing this blog has made me excited to the year ahead! Ciao Dan |
