Good afternoon from London where spring is trying its best to nudge its way out in front of winter
but not very successfully (so far)!

Today I want to shine a spotlight on some of our previous winners.
SKOGEN had a great year last year, winning two gold awards and one silver for their Jasmine
Collection moisturiser and eye-cream products.
“Skogen” means “forest” in Swedish and I think this name perfectly captures the company’s ethos
which is to use all-natural ingredients and work in an environmentally friendly way while creating
top-quality beauty products. SKOGEN is based in New York and Sweden and has placed itself at the
forefront of high-end beauty product brands.

Another of our winners was Rose and Caramel. Established in 2010 with the objective of creating
the perfect tanner, Rose and Caramel’s initial breakthrough came with their launch of Nudity
Aerosol. Since then they have gone from strength to strength. A busy duo, Rose and Caramel have
recently been in Los Angeles, mingling with some huge influencers and visiting the LA Pretty Little
Thing office.

FOREO were worthy winners of our Best Beauty Electrical Device Gold Award for their LUNA 3
product.
Despite the fact that six years ago the company consisted of just two employees, Foreo has
experienced amazing growth and success and now employs over 3000 people across the globe. The
company was founded in Sweden and takes great pride in hiring staff from a range of backgrounds,
which complements the company’s innovative approach and unconventional yet ground-breaking
way of pushing forward technological solutions.

​The final company which we want to highlight today is Dr Lipp, producers of 100% (not 99%) natural
products. Founded by the infuriatingly multi-talented and stunningly beautiful Pontine, while she
was working in Milan. Now based in both West London and a sweet Verbier chalet, Pontine searched
high and low for a lip balm which would meet her needs until she stumbled upon nipple balm as the
perfect way to keep her skin in prime condition.

Our Editor's Choice Gold Winner was ELENI & CHRIS for their Anti-ageing face serum.
Eleni and Chris are a mother daughter team who have built an empire with their beauty brand.
Despite very different approaches and backgrounds, the duo have identified their mutual passions
and inspirations which are drawn from their Scandinavian roots.
Our second Editor's Choice Gold Winner was THE PERFECT V for the Vanicure Essentials Kit (Gentle
Wash + Gentle Exfoliator + VV Cream + VV Beauty Sheet).

The Perfect V was founded by AVONDA NELSON URBEN who six years ago left the chaotic New Yorkscene to set up home and business just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark.

A massive congratulations to all the Gold and Silver Award winners. Not only are your products
game-changers but you are playing a key role in driving the industry forward as a whole. Our judges
had a hard time picking winners and spent hours and hours testing and reviewing all the products in
each category, but they are all satisfied with their final choices and pleased to have played their part
in the awards process.

To enter these awards, the products needed to be Scandinavian Beauty Products and available to
buy in Scandinavia or be from brands or products originating in Scandinavia.
